Quinoa Khichdi

A delicious satisfying Quinoa Khichdi. It is easy on the stomach but no less pleasing on the palate.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Quinoa
  • ½ cup Moong Dal
  • ¾ cup Frozen Veggies
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic-Chili paste
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 6 Curry Leaves
  • ¾ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 3 cup Water
  • Salt as per taste
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Once they splutter add curry leaves.
  3. Mix in and saute ginger garlic paste and onion for few mins.
  4. Add frozen veggies, moong dal, quinoa and mix well
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, paprika and salt. Mix well.
  6. Pour water and mix. Cover the pressure cooker and cook on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
